that was a general "you".
I mean, if you create something, dont expect everyone to like it.

So this is your newer version? It nice to see bigger render picture but I can see your horrible triangulation from a mile away. You should have looked at rendering the images in Ink n Paint, all 3D programs have it these days. They prove it for people who want to render out a cool looking model with out showing off their disgusting wire-frame. [link]
Also it looks like you haven't given the perceptive view any effort at all. The texture is lacking any real detail which is kinda bad for an artist competition. Using flat colors doesn't make the ship stand out. If you added a bump map and a spec map, you could have easily given the boost the render needs. The picture could have done without the corny looking jet fire and blue laser beams. Blue laser beams are so 80's. It would have looked much better if you had softened the edges of the beams and given them a bit of grain and opacity. Same goes for the fire. Jet fire is generally made of layers, blue, red, orange and yellow as the fire gets further away from the fuel source.
All this being said it looks like you have put some real effort into the smaller details of the ship (I saw them in the other picture). Also the planet in the background looks pretty damn cool

"It nice to see bigger render picture but I can see your horrible triangulation from a mile away."
Yep, i'm some kind of bloody noob in this.
"You should have looked at rendering the images in Ink n Paint, all 3D programs have it these days"
Well, i didnt know about the cell shader till this project, so thanks for pointing that there is also somethink like that.
Lasers:
They are, like in eve colored.
Jetfire:
my first try in creating them
Textures:
hell i'm happy i was able to create a texture like the dark window thing. I tried to play with bump maps and stuff but it all looked pretty horrible. I figured i suck at it
Background:
Its a screenshot from eve

See it's nicer when people give you constructive criticism. Textures are an extremely hard element to get right in any project. Which 3D program are you using? cause generally you can adjust the bump value. If it's up to high it will look awful, sometimes a really small value is the best, like 0.5. Otherwise another option is to use the bevel effect in Photoshop. It's a 2D effect but can make something look a bit better - generally used with metal. But if you are texturing (it gets easier) and it looks flat, try adding noise, it generally breaks up single plane colors.

Well, i even take non cunstructive criticism as serious as i can and check if there are valid points, as you can see above.
I see your point and there are entries where i try to help, sometimes even if i dislike the model at all and sometimes you just get tired of doing so. Then there are entries that are incredible far off like something that doesnt even remotely exist in eve or is flatout a plain boring model without really effort that has been put into it. Why cant i say that i dislike it?
"I love it" is ok, its not constructive at all but its ok, on the other side "i dislike it" is evil.
Why cant i say what i dislike?

actually if I was to say "I love it" I then say and here is why. Think of it this way, people will be happy with positive words, no matter if they constructive or not. Therefore "I love it" will give somebody a smile no matter what. But I dislike it won't give them a smile if there is something good to come out of it. I dunno it's just about giving the negative a spin. I'll agree with you that there are some horrible entries out there. But instead of disliking it straight away I'd be inclined to ask "WTF?" or some question along those lines.
