Maybe you are searching too much. Try taking the materials you have, and do something of them. If you work carefully, the materials might tell you what they want to become.

Sure, you have a point there, but I must also like what I create.
For exemple, I need suede for the cover of a book that I want to bind myself. I don't have leather either, although suede is better to work with and can also be painted. So what can I use? Old materials...it's just not what I want to do...I want to do it with leather ...I want quality.
Anyway, I'll see what I will do!

Well, I love working with old materials, they all already have at least one story behind them. Quality doesn't always mean brand new. I suggest you to give flea-markets a try, you can find treasures for a really low prize. Then again if you want new suede or leather or whatever, use Google.

I totally agree! I actually love old stuff, I am an antique fan, the older the better, so there is no problem in that(yeah, I think is the thing about those stuff having a history behind them). Anyway, yeah, flea-markets are awsome...to bad there are not many here. And the last one I went to...trust me...there was everything there but low prices...it's like the world has gone mad!!!!!
Ordering suede or leather from other countries might not be such a good idea, it could turn out very expensive and I've already googled for suede in my country, but trust me, I can't find a thing. But a friend told me of a leatherworker here in the city and I will go to him and ask where he gets his leather and how I can get some to. So wish me luck!

Kiitoksia. Tökätään savilietteeseen kastettu metallitikku suolaan lasiin ja pyöritetään/muotoillaan se halutun muotoiseksi, jonka jälkeen sitä värjätään ja muotoillaan uudestaan x kertaa kunnes on hyvä, jäähdytetään niin että pinta kovettuu, otetaan pois tikusta ja laitetaan jäähdytysuuniin. Teoriassa siis näin.

Jossain kurssillako teit vai ihan muuten? Tuli joululomalla vaanittua jousen kanssa jäniksiä ja fasaania, mutta ei tullut saalista.

No voih, näkyikö niitä ötököitä edes? Minä en ole ehtinyt vaania mitään, osittain siitä syystä että pikkuveli on juuri saanut metsästyskortin, ja tuntuu olevan sen takia jotenkin etuoikeutettu....

Jäniksiä en nähnyt, vaikka yhdellä kertaa taisinkin kuulla selkänitakaa. Kuutamo oli varsin hyvä, mutta pakkasta oli jotain 20 paikkeilla. Vähän turhan kylmää kököttää liikkumatta pitkiä aikoja paikallaan, etenkin kun käsissä oli melko ohkaset hanskat jotta pystyisi ampumaan. Fasaanin näin yhdellä kertaa, mutten kerennyt ampua kun se jo lähti lentoon. Olisipa ollut yhtä kesy mitä kaupunkialueilla ovat.

Tietenkään ei kesyjen elukoiden metsästyksessä olisi intoa, se oli vähän kuin huono vitsi.
Pitäisi rakennella nuolia lisää, sellaisia metsätyskelpoisilla kärjellä olevia. Täällä Joensuussa ei harmi kyllä pääse niin hyvin harjoittelemaan, mutta pitänee ottaa yhteyttä paikalliseen jousiammunta seuraan josko pääsisi niiden sisävuoroille ampumaan.

Juu, jousella harjoittelu on talvella juuri vähän hankalanpuoleista, eteenkin jos lähettyvillä ei satu olemaan lääntä johon jemmautua ammuskelemaan.
