Slenderman, the game that is, never frightened me. I found it annoying if anything to be taken when I couldn't see him. The idea of Slenderman, though, I find really fascinating. They just need to make a game that gives him motion and utilize that to add to the creepiness of the game. I think it would be much scarier if I had to hide in a closet and watch him creepily walk past on his long limbs all the while having the static build up and then fade only to get taken when I peer out around the door. Where it's at right now, a statue that just appears, isn't frightening to me.
And, as for the comic, I like it

Lord, that would be terrifying. I'm picturing it as a kind of cross between Amnesia (which I haven't even finished because I'm a huge baby) and the Slenderman stories. I wonder if they've done anything like that in the Slender reboot, the one with a plot and stuff? (I mean I assume you're talking about the original game, though I could be completely wrong.)
Have you watched Marble Hornets at all? They do a pretty good job of giving Slenderman motion even though they're just using a mannequin or... something.
