Description
How can I thank you for your words?Floating like notes sung by birds.
Now tis the time to end this serenade,
An unfair and painful trade.
I'm leaving to adhere,
Juxtaposed against Juliet's sneer.
Family and doctrines steer towards what is best,
"Compromise," They say, "Just don't fail the test."
Trapped in a world of black and white,
Tears can't fall if I shut my eyes tight.
Always longing for the grey,
A tiny segment of your day.
I will tell you straight,
What you did for me.
This is a thank-you note,
Trimmed with apology:
When the day masquerades as night,
I work in the dimming light.
The motions of the clock,
Fill my ears; tick, tock, tick, tock.
Shadows of depressing concepts fill the space,
Of what you speak there lies not trace,
Although we may be miles apart,
The shadows disintegrate near your heart.
A word for every cell in your body,
Beating with life; part of your anatomy.
They allow me to see there is not plight-
Outside my room,
Happiness does loom.
-Eventually the Earths submerged in dawn's gentle light.
Kind regards,
…
Goodbye.

I really like this one. I especially love that last stanza with the contrast of the first and last line. Love it.
