I'm not sure what the key is, MissKenchi. But I normally sketch in pen, cause I don't like erase much, when doing a drawing in pencil, (i'm right handed) I start from the top left and work my way towards the bottom right. so I avoid resting my hand on the drawing.

So I guess your experience gives you the knowledge to accurately draw the shapes so well the first time? I seem to draw lines upon lines untill I need a new piece of paper.

well, when i sketch, i use lines on top of lines a lot. When I do these types of drawings though, I tend to pause and look at the drawing and try to visualize. My goal is to draw final lines without having to pause. I saw my favorite artist in person, actually do this. And it blew my mind and I saw a level of drawing that I didn't even know was possible. lol too much info!
