I started an astrology series back in September 07' I finally finished it May 08' hoorah! They aren't uploaded in order of course but they will slowly make their way onto DA With all of these astrological paintings I created a book which I've recently finished!

This is my interpretation of Cancer, the Crab of the zodiac. This was my first painting to do a symbolic interpretation of. Basically smoking = cancer, period. The smoke she is producing forms the symbol of the cancer sign. This was a simpled triad (yellow, red, blue) painting, so nothing fancy here.

The image of the woman was an original pose which appeared on an arts magazine. Unfortunately I do not know what the magazine was or which cover issue it was =/
