Shomari was a rogue living on the edges of the Msitu Pride territory when he caught the eye of the heir, Atiena. Though initially not necessarily wanted by the pride, he was eventually welcomed. He leaves the leading to Atiena, since he knows he has no experience, and prefers to leave the hard stuff to her. He will lead when Atiena cannot, though his usual duties are to guard the borders, which is, ironically enough, the reason he was able to live on the edges – a lax guard.
