I'm kind of torn between the first and second one. It looks good either way but I like the mystery of the first one because you can't really see the rest of the face. My only suggestion is to bring the fiery colors further up into the black. Good job.

No, I'm saying you should add more of that reddish texture that reminds me of fire at the top of the image. So, I guess you could say less black.
