I like this piece, but I feel like it is missing something. Maybe lessen up alot of the texture aroung the image because it seems to take away from the face. Alot of times simple is better. Next, I would add something of your choice whether it be a different color/texture or some more skeletal structures maybe coming from beneath the skull. This could be a really awesome piece with some more work.

i was merely playing around trying new things when i made that one... did not even know what i was going for... i was actually thinking of painting over the textures around the skull, but i couldnt get it to look as good as i wanted... but i just migth take ur advice

Whoa it sorta looks like the skull/face is coming out of a tree... that would so creep me out if i saw that on a tree! O.o
