How would the bottom one feed? Is that a special hopper?

That hopper has an RF reciever and there is an RF chip that can be soldered to the board of the marker. This means that everytime you pull the trigger the hopper will feed. There are also other hoppers that do this.
However I might opt for magfed using TiPX mags instead.
