My bud Earl asked me to make him a design for a tat which he described as "devil and angel fighting for the water". Must be a surfer thing.This is my first attempt to do a "tattoo art", so I felt I effed up the inking, left the background un-inked due to hesitation.

I think that's pretty good. The devil especially is great, the angel's hair shading could probably do with improvement, but that's not entirely impossible now. I hope you get it to a degree of satisfaction.

i'd rather redo the whole thing. it wasn't tongue & cheek, it wasn't the best either, but i'd like to improve in this sector.

OH I love it. The little devil is so adorable and eeeeevil at the same time. Designing a tattoo must be scary!

Thanks, maggie! if you can check my first entries, i used to do this sort of thing, but i wouldn't refer to them as "tattoo designs". Now that i was designated to do it in particular, i sorta jumped the gun and admittedly made a boo boo on the inking part.

i think it's the shading that feels iffy.
but yea. i think the water bit is hard work especially if you're going to tat this.

here's the thing, i have tats myself, and to ink the drawing where it's supposed to be shaded was like a motion for the mirror every 3 minutes and i really feel bad... my friend whom i'm supposed to give this didn't even say anything but "dude, i'll just put this on my neck... can you redesign me something for my arm?"
