Description
Coined from the upcoming Typecast album of the same name, this piece very much evokes the tone of the record, as played to us during the Saosin concert 2 weeks ago.pencil and photoshop.

I think this piece shows great potential for you as an artist and I hope to see more from you. I love the concept, the layout, the flow and the colors. Keep up the great work I think youβre on to something here. A sincere artist is not one who makes a faithful attempt to put on to canvas what is in front of him, but one who tries to create something which is, in itself, a living thing and I think that is what you have achieved here today. Thank you for all your hard work, keep it up.
Cheers,
Rorke

What an interesting piece. I'm not quite sure what to take away from it, but it is really nice.

Hi, Maggie! How long has it been?! Thanks so much for your comment! I've been busy, and if that's the case, I usually come back with a bang.

I've been really busy, too! School has been pretty insane, and I just came back from visiting a college and Oregon this weekend. It's always nice to come back from a really long break from this website and see new art from you, though!

Hi, maggie! I was busy as well! But I had my highs and lows. One of the highs were being able to build Gundam models. FINALLY! And the thrill is painting them. Next, I've one artwork in the ready, in a new style. I think I'm gonna like it and stay that way. Now the hard part is coloring it.
How's Oregon? Sorry, I can only imagine it in movies, TV and pics.

I can't wait to see your new style! I made a Gundam model once, but it was a really cheap one, so it wasn't very hard to put together and came pre-painted... ha ha, nowhere near as cool as yours sounds!
Oregon was really nice - there were trees everywhere (which is really new and exciting for me), and there was moss draped over everything and piled on roofs. I liked it a lot, but it also made me realize how much I love Arizona, so I think I'll be staying here for a while longer. C:

Hey, Arizona! How are you? well, i've been away long, and during that absence, i've already done 2 gundams, 1 colored piece and went on a pilgrimage. US must be a nice, cold place. I'd be jumpin' for joy if our roof is covered in moss. It's so hot, you can grill burgers on our roof.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry you have to put up with weather like that! I haven't been up to much other than school work. Pilgrimage? That sounds epic and amazing, and you should definitely tell me more about it!

If you're familiar about heatwaves killing people in chicago, it's basically the same here. being a tropical country, we're accustomed to the heat. but this year's the hottest so far! i'm lucky i'm in the capital of the country, and am working in a corporate setting, so most of the day i'm indoors, enjoying a/c. but during weekends, wow, that's really some sweltering heat. About the pilgrimage, to begin with, we're a catholic country, like ireland. what started out as a college dare turned into a real mission. after 11 years (i've been into 10 of them), i do it annually still. not yet that epic coz i haven't done the whole route yet. i'm still doing 65% of the whole route. to do the 100%, you must be a freaking superhero or something. it's going up a mountain (paved path, mind you) and going down. last year was an upset because i was really out of shape and had to stop at 70% of my route. last week, i felt redeemed!

Wow, that's some amazing stuff! I really like the idea of going on a pilgrimage, but I'm not too sure where I would go... since I'm not religious I might just have to go to some of the locations from my favorite books or something. One thing I've wanted to do is to go to Maine and watch the sun rise, because it's the first place the sun hits in the United States. A boy in my government class told me that he wanted to do it before he died, but he died a few months ago, so I feel like someone should do it for him. Maybe that could be my pilgrimage!

that's hard to pass up! you should do it then. but before you do, you could prepare some stuff for him, like make him a statuette of some sort or you could go plant a tree on his behalf.

That's a really good idea! I can't wait to go now. I wonder what I should take... I'll get started on it right away!

Oh yes. Very interesting. I like the concept very much. I certainly couldn't have come up with this one. As has been commented before, I like the smoke effect... It gives the piece atmosphere.
But I like most of all how the legs are the wolves legs. I don't know why, but the way it's not quite a human in furs is interesting.

As the title suggests, influence plays a big part in this piece. Who's more sly, the female or the wolf? Or is the female the sheep? Or why her feet are more of the wolf's...or is she Beelzebub? It's a matter of who you influence.
Thanks for taking time to ask yourself.
Maybe I'm just getting very editorial again.
