Without further ado, I give you my colored piece entitled "The Runaways". This is for the advocacy of pet adoption. My initial plan was to use cats, LARGE cats for the execution, but I wanted to use something out of the ordinary.Related content

If I only had oodles of time, I could've colored all three pieces and try to make them compete with each other.

Thanks, jessica! I haven't heard from the organizers, but if you lose, they're gonna have my work printed as a postcard anyways. I have the file in 600 dpi, so I could have it printed for my own.

Tis true, fur is difficult. But there are some good resources for that sort of stuff here on deviantart. Some people are fur colouring specialists it seems ^_^

i dunno bout you, but whenever i look at people's step-by-step, to them it's simple (i can't believe they can do a whole piece in a max of 2 hours!), but to me, someone without a tablet, can't complete a whole colored piece in a day!
and if i ever did something fast, it don't come out right...

That would make things a tad harder. I'm mighty impressed you do what you do without one actually.
But you don't need to do anything fast! I think it's better to take your time over everything and get the best result ^_^
I've got a tablet, but I don't ever finish an entire piece in a day.
