This hairstyle looks exactly right for Sabriel in my opinion - I know Garth Nix says her hair is styled in a bob, but I just could never picture the smooth styled bobs of the 20's. Very nice

I think this is a much more accurate representation to her. Or at least, she looks more like how I always pictured her. I've got a watercolor of Chlorr from Lyrael way back in my gallery, but it's rather old, & this puts it to shame!

i really haven't read those books, but i know this is good....nicely worked fur coat and the sword's also pretty well done, reminds me of narsil/anduril in the lord of the rings

No, I think it's a good fantasy based picture. You should do more. You may have seen that my gallery is filled with fantasy, but all you have to do is practie really.
I particularly liked the sword (it's a little small compared to the girl, but the sword itself looks nice).
I'd also like to see your dragons. Maybe you could draw a dragon-rider?
