For video, it depends on what youre trying to record. Different things can require different ways of getting footage

Get Audacity for your computer, plug in a microphone, record your sounds/voice

Windows should have a built in voice recorder. Go to the search bar in the start menu and just type in "Voice Recorder"

A microphone is necessary to record your voice. If you have a phone or an ipod, it should have a built in microphone and there should be a voice recording app

Record your voice on a phone then take the sound file and put it in with your video files in a video editing program

which video editing program? does powerpoint count though? btw, im using a good ol' classic windows 7 (?) i guess its 7

If it's windows 7, you should have windows movie maker. Powerpoint is not video editing software, it makes powerpoint presentationsq
