I love Delphini's existence, but NOT her story in CC makes no sense. She needs a better interpretation of her character than what she got in "canon" because canon is OOC now. O_o (Isn't that an oxymoron? OOC canon? -_- Apparently not since the release of CC).
-She can't have been born "right before the Battle of Hogwarts" because Bellatrix was in that, and, well, she wouldn't have taken part if she had just given birth.
-There's no way Rodolphus would have seen her, post-war. Considering he'd spend the rest of his days in Azkaban for his use of Unforgiveables (on the Longbottoms ;_
-Never understood why Delphini was given up to be raised by some family. Makes no sense. After he sister's death, surely Narcissa would raise her? She can lie about who Delphi's father is to avoid Ministry backlash, that wouldn't be hard, Bella did have a husband. I don't have a problem with the Malfoys raising her, though. Delphini is Draco's cousin, and Narcissa is her biological aunt. Why WOULDN'T she take care of Delphini herself, what with her attachment to family? Andromeda would raise her grandson after her daughter's death. Narcissa would do the same for her other sister.
-The blue hair on Delphi makes sense. She's probably a metamorphmagus, which runs in the Black family (Tonks and Teddy).
Cursed Child should have been a completely different story. A BLACK family side story, after the defeat of Voldemort. Centering around, hmmmm, Teddy and his grandmother and the Malfoys (Draco, Narcissa, Scorpius). That would make more sense.

Don't ask me, but I figured he must be free from Azkaban to have enough access to her to tell her about her parents in the first place. Maybe he was looking after her during the Battle of Hogwarts so he got a discount for (seemingly) defecting?

Thank you! I have a real soft spot for Rodolphus. He's so utterly devoted (and without romantic love as a motive like Bella) - I sort of think there must have been the seeds of a good person there, if he'd just been born into a different world.

I know one fan who read the summary and said it was like you took all the worst stories on fanfic-dot-net, ran them through a algorithm, then decided it wasn't stupid enough.

Hahaha, that's a pretty good description actually. I like having the extra plot threads hanging around to work with, but the core content probably wouldn't have much interest if it wasn't riding on the coat tails of the books.
