Thank you very, very much, Chris. This is an oldie, but one of my favorites. I'm glad you like it well enough to feature it!

Thank you! They were so pretty, even though the day was dark and gloomy, for the most part. I loved seeing them, and it gave me hope that someday, warm weather will come!

During my readings on flower photography, overcast days are best to shoot on because you already have good light diffusion and minimal shadows.

That is so true. We might like sunny days better, but there's always the glare problem, even with a circular polarizing filter. Not everything gets filtered out.

Thanks, Lori. I think it's my favorite, too. I was heartened by your brave tulips and thought I'd check out one of the local historic house and grounds (this one is owned by the American Horticultural Society). Lo and behold, there were hundreds of tulips! I took over 160 pix yesterday.

Some of my trees and shrubs are starting to blossom out, now; even though I don't fertilize or weed any more, they blossom every year. Grubs ate my tulip bulbs a long time ago, though. I miss them! But you're so right--tulips are very cheeful! I love their oval shapes, too.

Thanks, Linda. I can't take credit for this garden--it's on the grounds of the American Horticultural Society; they keep things very nice!

Beautiful shot. I want this garden!
I planted 100 last fall. They are coming slowly. That's ok becasue it's bound to snow yet. Can't wait to see them.

Thank you! Good luck---hope they'll come in fine. We have had really cold, awful weather this spring, but flowers are coming up anyway. These beauties are not mine (wish they were, though), and the American Horticultural Society takes care of all the flowers on the grounds I visited. So the tulips had a huge advantage!

We seem to have flowers and leaf buds opening up now; granted, the weather has been just awful, but it hasn't been much below 30 degrees this week. The real enemy was the torrential rain and wind! But somehow life keeps pushing ahead, regardless of what nature dishes out. I'll be glad to see some sunshine soon...supposed to get some Saturday! Yay!

Yes. It has started to turn around here this afternoon, so much so I did a run up to Green Falls to catch some quick pics with a good flow at the falls. Some others were out too, enjoying the warming trend.

Yay! That's good news, Sailor. We have quite a gorgeous day also. Of course, it's only morning and that may change. Glad you had a chance to take some pix!
