Thank you, Sno. You are such a dear to say so! I'm glad if my work makes people smile even a little bit. We all need some joy in our lives, eh?

Actually, it's a nebulous thing--my daughter and I both awoke this morning with the feeling of some kind of impending doom. We have both been praying about it all day long. Not often a feeling like this comes to both at one and the same time. When it does, one must pay attention.

Hope it's nothing serious, and also hope whatever it is goes away soon!

Thank you. Fractals are just fun! Sometimes photography gets to be too hard, too tiring, so I just do fractals while I'm resting up. Glad you like this!

Thank you so much! I was just in your gallery and you have some marvelous work yourself! I have so much respect for traditional art (I guess it's because I can't do it), and yours is really fascinating; I am reminded of so many illustrations I've seen in children's books and Tarot cards. Your work is full of magic. I like the selections you featured in your journal, too. I am in some very good company there. Once again, I thank you!

Thanks! I like to do layered fractals now more than I used to. But they never get any easier, lol!

You're welcome. Yeah, I like to do an occasional mixing-of-fractals layering...usually Apophysis and Chaoscope. Makes for some interesting images.

But don't you do it within the program you use??? I usually do it as a separate image I layer on top of the other image/images. I know I can do that in several fractal problem I have, like Sterlingware, but I didn't really like how they turned out...I'f have to play around with it some more.

I only layer things with Photoshop. I can't figure out how to do it within the ChaosPro program!

JaKaSla-56 In reply to desmo100 [2006-10-04 09:49:47 +0000 UTC]
Oh, okay...I've only tried doing that with Sterlingware and it has to be fractals from that program. I had this brilliant idea of adding an image from another program and it showed up alright, but it was blurry and weird looking. Oops.

Sometimes those imported fractal formulas don't work well, I've heard. I've never tried it myself, though. Wish I knew how!

JaKaSla-56 In reply to desmo100 [2006-10-04 22:51:13 +0000 UTC]
It was fairly easy, but it's been a while since I did it...and now I'm not sure if I did it with the parameter or just an image of the fractal. But when it didn't work out well, I didn't try it again. And the couple of times I layered Sterlingware fractals together I wasn't too happy with how it looked. I think you have to have that in mind when you're creating the fractals...or something.

JaKaSla-56 In reply to desmo100 [2006-10-09 10:24:58 +0000 UTC]
All I figured out is when you'd like to do some layering you should make sure to keep it in mind when you're actually making some fractals. Maybe using the same colors and possibly a similar design.
I just haven't played around doing it enough...I've always done the clip and drag method...not the actual merging of the images.

I try to avoid a messy, busy appearance. Sometimes there's a primary image I want to show off, and the secondary image is just meant to highlight it.

Thank you so much. I'm working hard with different types of coloring orbit traps. It's amazing how changing the parameters can give the spiral a hard, metallic look, or a soft, transparent look. Sometimes, the same fractals don't look anything alike, not even remotely, when different coloring params are used.

Thanks very much, Anita. I have been delving into the thousands of different formulas and color schemes in ChaosPro. There is a wealth of data there, if one knows how to squeeze it out...I'm just groping blindly at this point. But every day brings a new discovery! I love these flowery spirals, and the soft, transparent coloring schemes look pretty good on them. It's work, but also fun, especially when I find a neat formula!

Thank you very much! I don't like to sound boastful, but I'm fond of this one, too. I like the way the whole thing looks transparent and soft. I got tired of doing metallic looking fractals and I'm working on a softer look now.

colours look awsome, just one thing fall seems a bit sorta crisp, yknow all the crunchy leaves and stuff, the wavy lines look too smooth, but thats just my opinion

It made me think of those deep red mums that you see in fall, that's why I called it that. We get flowers blooming almost the year around, now. In fall, there are lots of asters and mums. The odd thing is, I created a "tropical" gradient which I used on this one....it doesn't exactly look tropical!
