Thank you, Walter. Unfortunately, our touch of spring only lasted a short while; then we had snow and cold weather again. I'll be very glad when warm weather is here to stay! Thank you also for the !!!

Thank you. I love them, too, but I'm afraid they're covered up with snow right now . We had a few inches yesterday. I hope the weather warms up and melts the stuff away tomorrow!

We had 3 inches yesterday morning ourselves, but today's a little warmer & a lot sunnier.

It's very nice today. I feel great as long as the sun's out, but when we get cloudy weather AND it's cold out, I start to get a little depressed. (Watch me bitch when summer comes, though!)

LOL ... we're never happy. In the summer it's too hot & humid & in thw winter it's too cold & blustery !

Hawaii, on the other hand, is perfect! Why oh why don't we live there? Because we're not rich, that's way!

Thank you! Would you believe we had 3 inches of snow today? We did! I'm so sick of the stuff...it's going to be awhile before spring really gets here.

What a shame now the beautiful crocusses are covered again Luckily you managed to take a photo to preserve them digitally at least. I just looked at them again and noticed how beautifully you captured the texture. Really awesome. Strangely I didn't notice it when I looked at them the first time. Maybe the frame distracted me or my eyes failed me

I think the frame may have distracted you! One reason I don't frame my work very often is because of that very reason. They can be VERY distracting!

If you want to chose a not distracting frame I have a save tip. Change the image size to 1x1px (use a copy of the original for that to be on the save side). Enlarge the dot with the mouse wheel large enough to see the color and select that color for the frame. It's usually a good average color that blends well with the image. Good for when a border is just needed to hold the image together. You probably know that anyway .. I am just blabbering

That might work very well. I have a "blur option" in Photoshop that does an "average" of all the colors in the image and converts them to one average color. Maybe it's the same principle.

Oh that's handy! Maybe 100% gaussian blur in psp does the same. I have to check that It would be a faster method

Thanks, Jenn. Yes, they sure are, but the weather is giving them a run for their money. We are promised more bitter cold weather next week. Bur crocuses are pretty tough, and when they're growing on the south side of a protected area, they can withstand very cold temps.

Thank you, Fabula! I am nuts about bright colors and will photograph them whenever I see them. This little flower is so bright and cheery, and I can't wait until warm weather when we have tons of flowers blooming all at once!

I'm sick of waiting, too. The days are longer and sunnier, but the weather is still very cold; we're supposed to get another arctic blast next Tuesday. What a total bummer!

I am SO wishing for spring right now! For some reason, winter got me down this year. I guess it's because of the ice storms and fear of losing power. Ugh!

I enjoyed our winter and the snow because it was so beautiful....but now I want spring! I think the longer sunny days here (though cold) have really made me crave spring....can't come soon enough!

I like it when there's more daylight, that's true. We don't have sunset until close to 6 PM now, and that makes me think of spring, too. It's cold today, and we're supposed to get another "arctic blast" next Tuesday! I feel sorry for the birds, because they've begun mating and will soon lay eggs. Hope it's not too cold for the youngsters!
