such a pointless argument, show me one thing greedy profiteering hasnt ruined. Nuclear power has nothing to do with dumb humans other than being a victim. Nature has sex, stupid human makes porn for profit. Makes sex gross dissorts it, but makes profit.
Nature has food, greedy human comes, Makes junk food, puts poison in food, ruins it makes profit.
And so on and on
and then a bunch of morons come along like you, and blabber about how they ''dislike'' said subject. Like nuclear power has any say how we make reactors. Like any of these entities have any effect on how we handle it.
How retarded you have to be not to see this?
and of course shomehow all this shit that was wrong ages ago is all fault of trump

I think you failed to understand the simple meaning.  Trump wants to relax radiation guidelines because he thinks radiation is healthy. Nothing is further from the truth.

You should read the other comments.

Horribly, many environmentalists preach that nuclear power is a great idea - in total contradiction of what environmentalists would say 30 years ago.

I used to support nuclear power, but after the accident in Japan I don't know.  It will take hundreds of years to clean up that mess.

Plus it’s not really spectacular, nuclear power plants are just a glorified steam engines. You think after all that stuff about splitting the atom and creating atom bombs that cause huge explosions that all the energy they released would be harnessed for huge amounts of power instead of just relying on it just to heat up water for mere steam as power.

I don't think people really understand that.

I was surprised to learn that outside of Japan (I live in Japan, just so you know), many people don't know that the Fukushima disaster has never been stopped. It's still going on. The molten cores have never been retrieved; the radiation is so great that not even the most shielded robots can function near those cores. The government and TEPCO continue to cover-up and lie. Doctors aren't allowed to talk about it, about the kids with bleeding noses, the cancer deaths, heart attacks, or anything else related. Within the first 3 months, Fukushima released more than 100,000 times the fallout of Chernobyl.... and it's still going on without any media attention.

TEPCO has a great trick for hiding the deaths of workers from radiation poisoning too. They're sub-contracted to shady companies that pass the sub-contracting further down, which are gangsters. These workers are bottom of the barrel, often homeless guys and day-workers. They stay for several weeks, then get sent away again.

None are monitored afterwards. If they die of radiation poisoning, nobody "official" can say for sure, so they can "officially" pretend that nobody dies.

But the government will try to pretend it's already fixed long before then. They're already trying to convince people that the region is clean and safe. People stupidly believe them for awhile, families move back to their old hometowns as the husband gets a job at his old company again. Then the kids start suffering nosebleeds that never, ever, stop. Everyone gets sick. They finally wake up to the cold harsh real world in which governments tell big lies all the time. They still need the money though, so the wife takes the children back to her relatives that live nowhere near the Tohoku region - while the man stays to work even knowing he'll suffer for it later.

We seem to be headed that way.  Trump wanting to cut back the EPA.  People don't get that you can't drink sewage and breath soot.  Everything that the world says will kill you, he and his corporate cronies say it's good for you.  And his supports believe it.
