How des draws spoo faces, no refs required. Because I am sure people must be wondering by now…How I do this? Well, I’ve done a ridiculous amount of facial studies of this guy, more than I can count tbh. So, I have more or less been able to commit his general features to memory. I have also included every single layer I used to draw his face in the animation. I do hope that this is some-kind of helpful : )

Facial studies, does that mean you looked at his face several times many different angles over and over again? With no practice at first drawn?

No, what I did was practice drawing him from reference to learn his face,'studies', so that now when I actually sit down to draw him I can do it without the need to have my nose in a pile of ref photos.
