Thought a few might be interested in how I worked through creating my new character Rust.Normally when creating a new character I have more of an idea and/or inspiration about what they will look like, but I was starting blank with her. I just knew I needed a kitty girl, and went at it.
These drawings spread over about 2 weeks. Please ignore the random badly drawn foot haha. The color in the middle is with cheepo markers, and I had more color experiments in the digital ones at the bottom, but those were the main 3 that I was trying to decide between.

I always find the process fascinating to see. There is one image that I loved in this where she's stood with a thick, fox-like tail curled out behind her that I thought was wonderful. I love Rust's final form, but it's sad to see what doesn't make the cut when it's all so brilliant (even the unsuccessful bodies).
