When you arrived at the café, you found a table inside and sat down. You hung your hand-bag to the one side of your chair and started a conversation with Yugi about duel monster’s abilities, till a waitress came to take your order.

Daily life, duel monsters and sometimes some jokes were the usual parts of your conversations, but the truth is that you were never getting bored of that “routine” and each time you wished for that to never change.

Somewhere around the middle of the chat, Yugi exclaimed. “Oh; I almost forgot! Did you bring your deck to show you the new card combination, you were talking about yesterday?”

You smiled and quickly replied positively. However, when you turned to take out your card deck, you smiled instantly disappeared. Your hand bag wasn’t there!

You immediately searched down your chair and the other side of it, feet and under the table. Yugi saw your panicked expression and the missing bag. He quickly began observing the place for anything suspicious, when his side of his eyes caught a suspicious figure heading outside the café. His stare quickly headed to the figure’s hands and its movements.

It was that moment he spotted the mysterious man putting in its dark brown trench coat your (f/c) bag, in a failed attempt to hide his loot. Yugi frowned, stood up, and grabbed you from your wrist. He began guiding you to the exit, in order to chase the mugger.

“Yugi? What’s happening?” you questioned even more worriedly, “Why are we living so suddenly? What about my bag?”

“Quickly! I know who took your bag!” he replied dead serious. “We need to catch up to him!”

Yugi raised his speed and you had no other choice, but to do the same. Right behind you heard yells; it was a furious waiter screaming at you to come back to pay for your drinks.

“Something emergency happened! We are going to pay, when we return!” you squeaked a plain excuse and focused on following the young duelist.

‘Can this date become even worse?’ you wondered and you mentally sighed.

After a ten minute chase, which included a quick explanation of the situation you and Yugi were into. The, now, panicked mugger entered a backstreet, unluckily for him, which was leading to a dead end.

“Right here (Y/n)! I think he cornered himself!”

Hearing Yugi’s voice, he spat out a curse. He had no other choice but to confront you.
When you entered to his eyesight, he activated his duel disk. The violet eyed young man saw that and did the same.

“I guess I have no other choice, but to let my monsters pulverize you!” the thief hissed.

“You can’t be serious!” you exclaimed extremely annoyed by his attitude. ‘Not only he is stealing my bag, he is challenging Yugi to a duel?’ you let out a sigh. ‘I wish I had my deck, so I can kick his butt on my own! But, it’s in my hand bag...’

You turned your gaze to Yugi, whose face had formed a harsh expression.

‘I won’t let him get away, after what he did to (Y/n)!’ the tri-colored man thought and put his deck in the duel disk’s slot.

The word “Duel!” echoed at the alley and each of the duelists draw five cards.

The moment the first monster was summoned your anxiety had risen to its limits.

The duel was over with the Dark Magician girl attacking the mugger’s life points directly. The power of her attack tossed the thief back, crashing him on the wall and making him fall down on the ground unconscious. Yugi was the winner of the duel.

Hastily, you head to the mugger’s unconscious body, grabbed your handbag and headed back to Yugi’s side. You checked everything inside it and all your belongings were there, untouched.

You let out a sigh of relief and turned your gaze to Yugi to thank him with all your heart, but suddenly sirens were heard from the distance. You averted your gazes to the sound which was getting closer. It was a police car and it was coming to you. Red and blues lights, which were being emitted from the top of the car, illuminated the whole alley. The car stopped and a police officer came out from it.

“Hey kids! What are you doing here? You shouldn’t walk in those backstreets; you might get mugged, especially when there is that crazy mugger roaming in the streets nowadays…” the policeman said while he was walking to you.

“Crazy mugger? You mean like that guy?” you arched an eyebrow and beckoned to the unconscious man on the floor.

The policeman’s eyes widen in surprise. He quickly put handcuffs on the man and tried to wake him up to stand up. The mugger stood up, still dazed on what’s happening, and with the movements of a wooden puppet walked and entered in the police car. The policeman closed the door on him and returned his glance to you too.

“You were really lucky… This mugger is wanted by the police department for weeks! We had over twelve incidents of mugging last week and all caused by him. Sometimes he even toys with his victims by challenging them to a duel and when they lose to him, he steals not only their cards but their duel disks.”

“That’s horrible!” You exclaimed forming an expression of disgust.

“At least it’s over young lady.” the officer replied, “You have the King of Games next to you. This duel would have been a piece of cake for him.”

Yugi laughed nervously to his comment and didn’t say anything.

“Anyways, I should be off for the police department. I need to file a report and put him behind the bars for good.”

The police officer entered the car and drove away.

You and Yugi glanced at each other and said nothing for a minute to calm down. Later the tri-colored haired young man spoke first.

“Maybe, we should go back to the café and pay for our drinks…”

“Indeed. But I bet this waiter will not be happy when we return.” you responded.
