I happened to randomly buy Star Ocean Last Hope while I was in Canada, and I must say that its turning out to be one of the best random decisions I've ever made.I haven't drawn anything in just pencil in a long time, but I had the urge to sketch Faize~ I might do a color one later *but must finish game nowww byeeee*

I bought it randomly too. Not a ton of RPGs like that on 360. About the only other one is Tales of Vesperia. Anyway, looks great!
I see you like the scarf too.

Thank you very much! I do like the scarf I don't know why people kept telling him he looked bad in it
Oh yes ToV is a good one I agree.Β

Yeah, it really completes his look if you ask me. Well, at least Reimi had good taste.

This is lovely! He looks very beautiful here, just like in the game. I love him for. Hs feminine features personally, you really captured that. Great soft pencils, a emotional expression. I highly rate this fan art!
CRYPTIC SPOILERS BELOW!!!
Actually, in the case so SO4, maybe having the ending spoiled was better if you're a Faize fan. Kind of saves you from having your heart torn out unexpectedly. I didn't know what was coming, and I was mixing between flipping tables and being in depressed disbelief. ;___;
I love-love-love the characters and the possibility of fanfiction writing due to their close living quarters of the Calnus, and multiple planets only partially explored. But on the other hand it would have been nicer if they'd addressed what happened to Faize by making the game longer at the end, making certain characters endings clearer, and maybe adding another section of story where you really could -choose- certain characters. Ah, I hope you understood at least some of that, I'm trying to be cryptic.

Thank you so much!Β
Oh I read your fanfictions a couple days ago (and they were wonderful by the way - it has been very difficult to find any good FaizeLymle fics, so I sort of fell in love with yours)! I love FaizeLymle I will so ship them to hell and back.Β
That's what my spoilerfriends told me! I was texting a friend after I first started the game, and I was telling him how Faize was instantly my favorite character as soon as he was introduced. And of course then my friend was like 'You poor dear...let me tell you all the awful things that happen to him' D:
And I kind of freaked out for a while, but yes I think in the end I'm almost glad I have some prior knowledge of what I must face *sob* ^.^
Now I'm just working harder to get the Faize ending.

You're welcome!
I just remembered- I was re-reading a Faize x Lymle the other day. It is one of the cutest I've read. Basically it is a series of one shots, three chapters long. I think you'll enjoy reading it, if you haven't already: www.fanfiction.net/s/5297730/1...
It's on Fanfiction.net.
Definitely use online guides to get all the good endings in SO4. You can get them all in one play through. None of them conflict, so. They involve getting bouquets of flowers and going to certain places with them at certain times, as far as I can recall. You will want a guide.

Oh my goshhh thanks for that it was terribly cute!
It is exactly what I needed.
Ah man a guide? How complicated are all of the endings? I may have already missed things I need in that case. Well except for Faize's ending, a friend sent me the list of private actions, so I'm certain I have what I need for that one. And that's what I really want

No problem. I love that one!
I remember they are called funeral bouquets.Β
They unlock a couple of endings, and a couple of PAs too. I won't say any more though.
Copied and pasted from GameFAQs:
You'll locate the first one in Centropolis on En II from a woman just north of the center in between the Inn and the Transport Room.
After that, Item Creation is the only way to create Funereal Bouquets.
1 Dendrobium - On Roak near Tatroi, there are two Harvest Points. Use those then go back to the Calnus to respawn them. They're a rare drop but it's the quickest way to get them.
2 Blue Roses - In the Sanctuary on En II there's a Harvest Point at the south end of the map. That tends to drop one without fail.
1 Velvet Ribbon - This can be purchased in Centrpolis on En II at Masterful Materials, the store with the item bag symbol on the inner right, southside.
There's a Faize ending sort of with Lymle but you have to put the funeral bouquet by the grave of her grandpa. As long as you are free to move around it is possible to put the bouquets there. I think you can get all of the ingredients for them, since I think you have to item creation them, from battles. It's been a while. It didn't take me too long though.

Okay thanks! I would have never figured this out by myself. D:
Seems kind of complicated; do I only make one for Lymle's grandfather?Β

MrsNox In reply to DesteryVoid [2013-07-20 00:24:06 +0000 UTC]
You make one for Lymle's grandfather. There's a little cutscene because of it too. Then there are other instances where you need one, which should be online elsewhere, but if you're just going for Faize x Lymle, one should be fine.

I was less surprised by *Faize leaves than I was by *Arumat joined....0__o!? WTF seriously?
I'd have liked to see more of the planets too. Especially Aeos.

MrsNox In reply to Gi1t [2013-07-18 18:52:14 +0000 UTC]
Or just more planets full stop. Rogue Galaxy, a PS2 game, had more planets in it that SO4. I think I remember the tagline of the game being something like "explore the galaxy". I hardly call 5-ish places exploring the galaxy, lol.
I wanted Faize and Arumat. But yeah, he did just get thrown in with the . The only real interaction with the party before that was the brief encounter at Aeos. Sighs.

Gi1t In reply to MrsNox [2013-07-18 19:00:20 +0000 UTC]
In particular I'd have liked to spend more time on Aeos at the start of the game, just going out on missions and exploring.
I think it was good that they made Arumat's interaction pretty sparse. Made it much more of a surprise when he ended up joining. It was different from more typical characters like Myuria or Sarah where you see it coming a mile and a halfΒ away.

MrsNox In reply to Gi1t [2013-07-19 00:12:29 +0000 UTC]
I don't think there's much on Aeos. Once you've seen the beach, cave and forest, you've basically seen the whole planet maybe? Is uninhibited. More doable quests would have been nice though. Maybe being able to go back to it later and there being a colony starting there already, not just the Federation base. But I thought they'd deemed the planet hostile and uninhabitable for long periods of time. *scratches head* I'm not 100% sure, it's been a while since I played it.
I would have preferred Eleyna Farrence to Sarah as a playable character. She was awesome. And like Claude and Ronixis are related but star in different Star Ocean titles, so Roddick and Eleyna are related and do the same. I see your point about Arumat though. It would have been nice to feature their characters more, maybe adding a few more plot points, minor characters and events for them to take part in.Β

Gi1t In reply to MrsNox [2013-07-19 06:27:15 +0000 UTC]
I meant quests to help out the base. I would've liked to be able to go back and just do typical quests that would take you through other parts of the local area (different caves, places with different animals, etc.) I always do all the gathering tasks, but I'd have liked more excuses to just spend time there.
Β
That's one of the strengths of the Tales series. They usually manage to get a lot of character details in there. (Especially Symphonia, which somehow managed to hit everybody's story in a significant way while bouncing betweeen all their other plotlines.) Of course Tales games also have the skit dialogue which gives them a huge advantage in being able to put in tons of character details with minimal gameplay interruption and they can even ignore context in some cases.

I would have liked more focus on the character stories. But I like quests too. Maybe some quests where there are cut scenes and it involves locals and such on Roak. I really would have liked to have gone to Earth and seen what it was like, or the space station near Earth where there are Earthlings. Or another planet with sentient life. It's kind of sad that it left me wanting more because the wasn't enough. SO3 left me wanting more, because what was there was awesome. I'd love to be able to play an aftermath story with the character Fayt ends up with. Or solo character endings. Or just a political themed sequel about rebuilding the federation or something. So don't get me wrong, its not just for selfish fangirl reasons. Although some more of Albel would be great.
I love the tales series. So much. I have tales of graces just sitting on my shelf unplayed because I've been doing other stuff.

Yeah, more involvement in the cultures of various worlds would have been nice.

Did you also find it hard not to crack up when the leader of the Cardianon said "inferior beings!"? Β I did. I'm waiting on Tales of Symphonia Chronicles so I can finally actually own a copy of that game.

Basically the Cardianons freaked me out. I'm sure they were a... Lovely people before volition was forced on them (yeah, right) but they were creepy! still, yes, I found the whole 'inferior beings' speech hilarious, lol.

I liked the 'lizalfos' ones a lot. I actually enjoyed fighting those. The other types were kind of funny to me especially since they were so talented atΒ running at you to try to start a fight and running straight into a wall, making it easy to surprise them.
