Thanks for reading all that... but theres still more in the description! XD
Im not to interested in hearing how i've spelled things wrong.. I know I have XD ...well not on purpose or anything ts just ivevitable XD
My main purpose of this tutorial was to let you know how I did these little things... as long as I have conveyed that message I feel i've triumphed. But if there is anything you really don't understand please do say! XD

In the tutorial I said I would give thinks to things so here they are:

~*~*~*LINKS*~*~*~
~clay~

SuperSculpey clay to the UK:
[link]

You can get fimo clay from any art and craft shop all over the UK

Search for Eye pins on ebay if you need them, they are quite cheap.

~ Fluke ~
The picture I printed out and used as a reference can be found here
[link] < and you can find other pictures of fluke linked from there

~Other necklaces~
Sora, Riku: [link]
Kairi: [link]
Aeris, Kenny, Tonberry and Stitch: [link]
random earrings: [link]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ahhhh... This tutorial took SO much time to put together... and it was also much harder than I thought XD
I do do these neckalce comissions they cost arround £30 depending on everything, if you would like one please note me about it! Ill do more or less any character
Please ask any questions? just ask!
...im sure iv forgotten something! XD
I would say more but I really hope the tutorial speaks for itself
Great tutorial, its so flippin' awesome! And helpful too. Just a question, where did you get the varnish and what brand is it? Also, is there a name for the tools you use to make the clothes and stuff?
Thi sis so helpful for me! I was actually out and looking for a tutorial. I've always wanted to be able to make these little sculptures.. and tried and failed. Oops. This is really helpful, looking at pictures and reading about how you do this makes it a little more clear for me. Thank you. Downside? I have to wait until I finish my art assignment for school before I even go near my clay. D: Shoot. Oh well, Maybe over the weekend..
And the detail you put on there is amazing! Honestly, they look beautiful and so much like the character. The design is complex, but you made it almost the same on the little figure.
Thank you again. This is very useful, and I will be testing this out asap!
wow, how long did it take to make the figure? those kinda things are a pain in the butt, i've make little things outta scupley but they were never THAT detailed. If i get some more sculpey with my xmas giftcards maybe i'll try making a keychain like this ^^ (i've already got the eyepins and paint lol)
and your tutorial has so many good pictures that it doesn't even need all thsoe words to be understandable ^^
Yay! Thanks so much for this tuto!
I think you linked this on Gaia a while ago, but then I forgot about it.
But I found it again, got some sculpey, and made a few things.
Thanks so much for the inspiration. +fav
This so cool!!
It will be so useful for me that I'm starting to do sculptures.
I use air dry clay but I think this tuto is so interesting and complete that I saw in all my life. So I'll see your other clay tutorials and hope I can do something cute like your tiny bead sculptures.
AladdinsFan [2006-08-30 06:12:02 +0000 UTC]
That's awesome! I've had a package of sculpey just sitting in my room because I'm too afraid to try anything. I did make a messy Aladdin figure with Paper clay though. (Paper clay seemed less threatening, so i went ahead and played with it) [link]
What exactly is PVA glue? Like in "American"? Is that superglue? Or elmer's? (I know that's white, but it's the only other glue I could think of)
How fragile are your little figurines when they're all done? Do they chip at all?
I have to try one, now.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DestinyBlue In reply to AladdinsFan [2006-08-31 15:34:52 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for your interest Im supprised how many people say they like this tutorial, I would imagine it would be far more specialised
PVA glue... hmmm, I didn't know you didnt have that in america! (silly america ) its basically you plain old basic while glue which dries clear. Its probubly the stuff you stuck tissue paper on cards with when you were a kid XD..its all while... and gluey..? its totaly not specialised or anything, and dryes clear so it gives a nice shine and is much less expencive than varnish!
Possibly I think it is like elmers.. but as long as the glue dryes clear and varnish like and wont erase the paint underneeth its fine to use
You aladin looks awesome! I do hope you try and maki soemthing using my tutorial 8gets all excited*
I havent had one of my figurenes chip (or break) yet! Aculy polymer clay doesnt really 'chip' like those kinds plaster mold clays (and even some air dry) Of course when you are working with something so small there is a chance very fine stickey our details might break,(like the end of flukes hair) but generally because they are chibis they are small and quite compact; like my KH ones which nothing would really break off. But honestly they only need to be handled with any more care than a normal necklace, I just wouldnt reccomend things like sitting on them XD
Well I hope I helped Any more Qs or anything just go ahead and ask
...and Im sttill hopeing you do one of these! XD
AladdinsFan In reply to DestinyBlue [2006-08-31 15:41:27 +0000 UTC]
Haha, no sitting on the necklaces. Looks likewhat you're talking about IS elmer's glue, the basic "kid stuff" that we used when we were little. Thanks for that! I have some somewhere around here.
I read your tutorial and =MumboJumbo 's tutorial and totally started wanting to make something. I didn't make a chibi character or anything, but I did make a tiny little lop bunny for my sister. She loves small things and bunnies, so I think she'll love it. Unfortunately I don't have a good enough camera to take a picture of it so I can't post it here. Today I'd like to try a little Aladdin figurine just for fun. I can't believe that Sculpey actually smells good in the oven! (Unless it's leftover cookie smell from the last time I baked something... I can't be sure )
These little figures of yours are so darn cute and now all I want to do is go buy some clay and start molding! This tutorial is thorough and very helpful. And the result couldn't be more beautiful!
You need to talk to my sister, the fimo fanatic! Not my thing personally, I don't have the patience.
Speaking of Kingdom hearts, KH2 is sneaking its way to europe after a very long time in the states, should be arriving this quarter, but nobody knows quite when.
By the way, my older sister says Fluke is a really cute-looking character. =3
personally, i still think mine is better the little squishy. soo much easier to make.. just a blob and point a taill and all the painting you need is the colour you want it to be and the eyes. see i should make my own tut. and then id be cool.
