You can also make all the spots the same size. I wasn't looking at a mushroom at the time and I thought that it had one big spot and a bunch of small ones. oopsThis is my first tutorial and my first charm! These would go well on a bracelet with jnsun's goomba charms
Thanks for the advice and all, but please, I don't need any more comments about how 'I should have gotten better before I posted a tut'. I made this a long time ago and I don't plan on redoing it, so just take it or leave it as is.

Mind if I give a few crits?
the cap of the mushroom is a little bit uneven, next time try to smooth it out a little more.
Also, there are a lot of white spots on the green.
The spots are sloppy, tbh. A great way to get smooth even circles is to make a ball and flatten it with a flat surface, like a hard card( ID, gift card) or something along those lines and thining it out. It depends too how you roll the ball. Or you could paint them on.
I think you can bake polymer clay, but I use the normal sculpey. So if you do/can, it's good to paint over a figure and glaze it once it's done.
For the face, faces are hard, but you'll get used to it. You could also use the ball thing and make really thin eyes with black.
But um...I REALLY hope I wasn't harsh.

I made a Mario Mushroom before I saw this, and I used white clay and painted it.
It looks like a real one.
And it's not messy
