Things we think will last forever fall apart. It's so hard, when foundations crumble, but you get to build anew from the ground up. You might not have noticed how ugly the wall really was till it's gone

Really wanted to develop her story further, while keeping her with the 'words'. I like to think she enjoys reading. Her situation is more hopeful here, she is tackling the problem. Inspired by a real girl I saw (please read the description of 'brOKen') I send lots of love and thanks out to her. I know my 'brOKen' image has been shared a lot online and I can't help but wonder if she's seen it...

I wish that I understood colors like this. How someone sets up their palette and says to themselves, "I know how to shade these flesh tones! I'll use hot pink for shadows!"
I haven't got that bone that allows you to do that. *sigh*

It's all about practice, no one is born knowing how light works or the intricacies of anatomy, you just have to practice at it!
If you would like to get better I recommend finding a photo where you really like the colours and study and repaint it as closely as you can, you'd be surprised how much you learn from doing things like that, and how differently things work in reality than in your head!

This is really cool. I personally like the simpleness of the colors. Makes the meaning stand out so much more. I also like what you wrote about the wall. You really made the message sink in. I've been through hard times with my past and this really helps me move on since I finally decided to leave the past behind. This is great work in many ways. The colors, the way she is actually painting a wall, and how the wall looks like real paint. This amazing work.
