Description
Finally free, she looks up to the sky with fear and wonder as the rain splashes her face for the first time...Sequel to: Her wish was granted: to be human. To be more than a doll and plastic parts. Suddenly she was flesh and blood, laughter and guilt.
It didn't take long for the wrong people to notice her. Something so pristine, untouched, unspoiled, there was something so unhuman in her new found humanity.
They took her in and started the tests. She appeared to be perfect, her cells showed no signs of age, they thought she could be the cure, the cure for humanity.
She didn't speak of her past life, though it was written on her arm; in a tattoo which used to be a Makers Mark printed inside her hollow arm. They never could explain it.
They used her for years, her 'childhood' spent in a cell.
Her freedom won from the strangest of places, when they had exhausted all the tests, when they realise she was just human after all.
They dump her outside. Discarded for being only human.
Abandoned but free. Her humanity is a blessing and a curse... what will she do now?
After note: Her wound is self inflicted, hoping to rid herself of the mark that she's different, she takes the physical pain to try and remove the emotional pain...

AAAAaaah how have I not seen this already >:0 It's so cool! The gentle fleshtones and subtle pinks are just SO delicate; it really reinforces the idea behind the image. Which is something you don't really see a whole lot of online, so, umm, well done? :/
I feel very silly saying that; it's hard to be objective when I know anything you do is by default better than anything I can do, so who am I to be critiquing you, really? I can't help but feel I'd be obnoxious about it.

You know, there's something really beautiful about this. I looked at the drawing and thought it was beautiful. It's funny, even without getting the whole story I understood the gist of what was happening.
Then I read the story and I felt an even stronger appreciation for the symbolic value <3 Thanks for this~

She's whats knows as a Ball Jointed Doll, they're more like poseable sculptures than a Barbie

I feel so sorry for her.. Another reason why I hate some humans.. They always have to destroy the pure in this world, every last piece of it.. While most kids are happy, and open to everything, their imagination is great, there will always be an adulthood waiting for them. They have to grow up in a world that I'd say kind of tries to draw every single possible piece out of humans. It devour us hole, and leaves us empty. This is why I'll never grow up, I'll just grow old. "Growing old is inevitable, growing old is optional". I follow that quote. Because I'm mature enough when it's needed of me, but I am quite childish in my behaviour. It's just who I want to be, thus who I am~

This is... Words just cannot describe this. Her hair, her story, the rain, her tattoo, the blood, her eyes... Everything captures attention, and everything is simply incredible. You can see the mixed pain and joy in her eyes, her hope and fear as she is finally free. This is a lovely piece. I adore this.
