This. This. This and This again.Story of my life at the moment. Not because I don't want to talk, because I can't. Unfortunately some things you have to go through alone. My piece was also inspired by my situation, though things have got tougher recently. I am very lucky to have some very close friends I confide in though
I appreciate and am so thankful for them. Sorry I can't share more online...Its such at odds with my personality. I'm an eternal optimist. Anyone who knows me or has met me at a convention knows I love to laugh and it takes a lot to get me down, unfortunately this is. Well, its inspiration at least
One day I'll be able to tell everyone everything's not fine, but for now,
I'm fine.

Yes, I am the original artist, and no, I didn't copy anything else. I know there's loads like this around now but there certainly wasn't when I drew this in 2011!
(Though I'm sure I'm not the only person to have come up with an idea like this XD)I love that so many people have been inspired by this

On a personal note: The situation which is represented is (very thankfully) over. It was a really rough period of my life, which unfortunately triggered some mental health troubles, but the situation itself is as resolved as it'll ever be. I can stand today and know that I am a stronger and more compassionate person because of it.

Drawings don't make people commit suicide. .-. It makes them relate, sometimes actually feel a bit better knowing someone is feeling what they're feeling. Art is expressing what you feel. And the artist may have felt like this at the time. So, let her express herself. Did you know if you're actually depressed and you keep it in, you're more likely to commit suicide? Same if you're just sad, sadness will turn into depression.

Actually drawings like this don't make others depressed, it actually often helps other people with depression or who struggle with other things feel a lot better.
And I know that vent art has sure helped me when I feel like I want to scream my lungs out.
Vent art is important. And this art, vent or not, has meaning and beauty.
I don't see anyone else saying this made them depressed, so maybe it's just you.

My username refers to the way I dress, and the music I listen to, as well as the fact I favor horror/macabre art, the occult, the supernatural, and the horror genre in general. It does not refer to my mental health.
Becuase it gives them something to relate to. People who have depression can feel very alone and isolated. And seeing that they aren't alone can truly do a world of good.
And I look at drawings like this and it doesn't make me depressed, I simply admire the formidable artistic ability and go on to the next thing.
