This is my first piece of photography to be put onto deviantart. ^^Im usually not much of a photographer but when I say my mum and little sister trying to fly a kite at sunset I couldnt resist taking a few snaps, I think theyve turned out wonderfull and this was by far my favorite picture
I tagged a little corny phrase on the endge of it "let your dreams take flight" to make it sort of like those posters you buy with things like "if today were perfect there would be no need for tomoro" actuly I have one on my wall saying 'Destiny' and something corny XD but I like it so I tryed to emulate it in this little picture here.
Im going to try and make this a print *crosses fingers* Since prints dont sell that well here I don't expent to sell any but you never know, and since its free theres nothing stopping me
Any of your thoughts and ideas on this piece would be very appreciated, again in always wanting to improve so if you have any tips of photography you would like to share with me I would be more than happy to listen

woo... it would be difficult to improve on this! the colour is perfect and the crop or composition is ace. the kite looks like a Tramontana or a Skater? nice! i have a Stranger that i fly at every windy opportunity. it's a lovely photo of a lovely subject.

i dont like wind... or things that glide on them. If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is, "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is, "Probably because of something you did. thats all i have to say about that.... oh and nice picture

Bacically the two main things you have to worry about if you are not exposing your own pictures (and I know nothing about that so we wont go there... I use a digi cam) is composition and lighting. You are very good at composition so I don't even need to touch on that. The lighting in this one could be worked on though for the effect you are going for (I know the posters you are talking about. They used to hang them all over the school when I was in High school). For that look there is too much haze caused by the light hitting the lens. I am not sure what type of camera you are using but you will not get a much better shot given any situation if you are using a basic point and shoot. To get a better shot you will have to be using a manual cammera (digital is fine, most of the time, so long as it has manual options). And you will have to learn what all those crazy terms like apeture and IOS and so on and so forth mean... or more over what they do to your pictures when you change them. I would tell you what all those crazy manual settings are and what they do but at the moment I dont remeber (I have to have my friend luckymonkey72 explain them to me every week or so because I have this horrible tendancy of forgetting). If you are developing your own film she knows more about such things than I would. Everything in photography I know I learned while reasearching buying my digi cam (when you spend a couple thousand on a camera you do a lot of research) so I know bacically nothing about film. Just if you are going to go into photography profesionaly or even sudo profesionally you should use it. I am not so I will stick with my digi.

actually its quite good... remindes me of those inspirational postars.... if it was me, I would have maybe done a slitly diffrent angle with the sun, to get more of the ray effect in there... I also dont know what that thing is at thier feet, but I dont think it really matters..... nice job.
