You want to know how I got my cutie mark?A famous explorer once said, "The extraordinary is in what we do, not who we are."
I'd finally set out make my mark, to find adventure.
But instead, adventure found me. I was a blank flank well into my teenage years as a young explorer. Fresh from the academy and in search of lost relics, I journeyed to an island. Before anchoring at bay, the ship was cloven in two by an unforeseen storm leaving me separated from any other survivors and washed ashore.
In our darkest moments, when life flashes before us, we find something, something that keeps us going, someting that pushes us.
I had to endure both physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island. But when all seemed lost, I found a truth.
And I knew what I must become.

Huh, Tomb Raider....
When I first saw this, I was almost sure that it had some inspiration from the 2005 horror movie "The Descent".
Mainly due to the style and the fact that in The Descent a group of female spelunkers go cave diving and find it swarming with a de-evolved form of humans who are blind, wild, animal-like carnivores with bat-like hearing.
The only weapons they have (For the most part) are their Ice Climbing Axes [And the one you drew is absolutely beautiful by the way /)^3^(\ ].
Anyway, I LOVE this picture, keep up the good work. ^_^

For a wallpaper utilizing a "grunge" texture and brush set, I THANK you for not going overkill with it. It's very well balanced and gives an impression of a watercolor almost.

This is fucking fantastic. I especially love the inclusion of the climbing pick and how - and where - you strapped gear on her. As well as the bandages.
Obviously you also applied the texturework extremely well, it doesn't stick out in the least bit and feels entirely like a natural part of the piece.

I'm glad you like it! Though I'm not the first to make this connection, I haven't seen anyone do it in the grim, gritty style of the new Tomb Raider reboot, so I thought I'd give it a try for my first 'official' piece of MLP fanart
