Description
Well here's my commission for and of a TFA style Transformers Prime Breakdown. I based his body mold on Cybertronmian Lugnut's for obvious reasons and the colour scheme is from his TFA version. Maybe TFA Breakdown could grow a spine, get an upgrade and loose an eye all at the same time. LOLIt's also kind of appropriate considering Botcon just passed.
Maybe I should draw TFA Knouckout in the future. hmmm...

I had almost the same similar idea where TFA Breakdown does upgrade himself into a form very similar to TFP Breakdown, the difference is that he has normal looking hands, bigger legs and has pretty much the same weapons as his Prime counterpart.

He should be TFA War Breakdown (Resurrected form of TFA Breakdown).

I tried drawing mechas before but I failed bigtime so I gave up XD

Yeah, they can be difficult. The style I use for the transformers I draw can't compare to the hyper detailed robots that are out there. It can be really hard to work out all the angles. Still, I love it when an artist goes outside of their comfort zone if only to see how they handle other things than their usual work (I guess that's why I myself tend to go between robot and anime drawings).

Oh yeah! That's the perfect combination ever made. He deserves to be in my collection. By the way, someone ask a question to DJW @Formspring, about Drift; if he designed Drift for Animated, he would use Blurr,s body as the basis.Incredibly, for me, he responded, as very likely.
Will you ever consider the idea of doing that? Think on it! Another 100% winning!

I don't see why not? Some parts of Drift can be aplied to Blurr's base body, like the shoulder pads, and the big wheels that connect the foot points to the legs can be erased. That, for me, could be a perfect re-design.
And, since there's an Animated Breakdown already, why don't change the name of this Animated style TFP Breakdown? Maybe Hammerhead; Hammerstorm; Breakstorm; Breakhammer?
I'll let you to decide this; just give me the credit if you want to make it public.

Don't think I'll change the name. It's not like this Breakdown is cannon or anything. Though since I made this, I am thinking about making a TFA Knockout.

Yeah, I'm actually pretty fond of the stocky TFs in animated (like you said, who needs Mary Sue desings XD). How I'd love to have a proper leader class Lugnut toy or even a Grandus.

No problem. I own the Generations version of that mold. I really wish I had the united one. The colours are much closer to TFA Lugnut's. Maybe I'll find one at TFcon.

Yeah, thanks again, that was very kind and generous of you two. And yes, I think I shall make a Knockout in the future, but I still have so many things to make right now. Almost finished TFcon art entry 1, still need to start on 2. I also want to make a print for Paul Eiding and Gary Chalk of their characters.

Thanks, though I am a bit intimidated to draw Perceptor. It seems whenever I've drawn G1 in the past, I always have a tough time creating poses because the blockiness of their designs always confuse me. Maybe I should just create a pose with my RTS Perceptor and sketch from there (though I do want to add some more G1 style things into the design). It may also be difficult to colour a BW pic and have it look like CGI.

Yeah, I just chose to keep Lugnut's claws because I felt it would make him more "Cybertronian". I totally get what you're getting at though.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I wouldn't want more TFA figs to come out in the future to only be remolds. I do think however that it works in this case. I mean there are some other characters that could get away with remolds like Wasp, but you surely couldn't make a Grandus out of any TFA figs that exist.
