This is a long awaited gift for my very good friend ! Happy Pre-Birthday to him (his actual birthday is on August 19th). I know, I know... I probably should have waited until your birthday, but I wanted to get it out here!
I hope you like ie. I'm glad I could finally get around to drawing your OC. At any rate this took me a while to do. XD There's probably at least 12 hours of work in this (most of which were because of the background and line art). I finished this on a join.me session last night and I want to thank everyone who came, especially who kept me company the entire tim.
I really liked working on the background. I especially like the welsh mountain sheep that I included and I like the small rocks you can see in the stream. Remind me never to colour CG abs again. For some reason I couldn't get them right. XD Abs are better soft shaded because they're actually pretty undefined on a human body (relatively speaking).

WOW! Hot damn! This is awesome dude! You did a fantastic job on Fenris!! XD I love the time and effort you put into this. The icy mountains in the background and nice countryside, very nice job indeed. Very Nordic feeling. I love the little wood picket fence you got Fenris leaning against haha. Nice sheep too. I love his expression too, very calm and relaxed, probably a rare moment when not fighting lol

I was definitely going for a Nordic look. I wanted it to be a sort of lazy countryside, maybe like a little farming hamlet. I tried to do some research too. The sheep and flowers are both Nordic (though I'm thinking I should probably get rid of the flowers since they look kind of out of place). Yep, I wanted a sort of overarching feel of peace in this pic (as a ncie sort of contrast to how Fenris usually is). As for the picket fence, I wanted it to look like a pretty old place.
Does the title work? Is Fenris capable of going to the 9 realms?
You may not know this game, but I was totally inspired by the continent of Sadal Suud (specifically the town of Cebalrai) from the game Baten Kaitos. I specifically had these songs playing in the background: [link] (especially this one) and [link] .

I think you did well. When I think of a Nordic or fantasy-esk think I always think about The Lord of the Rings, since well its at the roots of good ole fantasy ha. Yeah, Fenris looks peaceful, tries to relax when his dad or the Aesir aren't after him. lol

Yep, Fenris can travel to all 9 realms, well, except for Nifilhiem... you kinda have to be dead to go to that realm (its the Hell of Norse mythology).

I feel like I should be shot, but I've never seen LOTR. XD Everyone I talk can't believe I haven't seen it. LOL As far as landscapes go though, I love this kind of landscape. I wish I could go to a place like this.
