I love Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 5 not too fond of 3 and 4 (or Gen 6 so far)

Definitely the best generation. When legendaries were one of a kind and very rare and the creatures looks and names made sense.

Oh I know, I have my favs from each gen and then there's always a few that make me go, "ugh, c'mon really?" but, some of them are just ridiculous. Like the clink-lang thingy? .....really?
I liked Kanto-Hoen the most.
It doesn't help that there's over 600 pokemon now right? My guess is, they'll at least do one more set so that the trainers can have 6 starters of the same element. They have 5 now, they just need one more.

Which is sad. that's partly why I'm not as big a fan as I used to be. I'll still buy the games cause they're still fun but, I don't collect the cards anymore (which I have a ton of) there aren't that many figures to collect and the movies are kinda using the same story-line. (though the two different versions of the newest movie was kinda kool.)
I think some of the best games were HG, SS, Emerald and the black and white games.

Black and White are amazing, I must admit. As for the cards, I have way too many. Movies, like you said, same plot, except for the newer ones.

I agree. It's like my childhood right there. I do think the dex in Black/White was creative and refreshing from things like Ruby/Sapphire. First and second generations will always be my favorites though.

Eh, I wouldn't say that....but that's just my opinion.
However, it gets really annoying when they start calling people who started playing pokemon in the fourth generation newfags and whine about how kids these days won't know what a charizard is and how all the games and all the anime went downhill after the third gen was released...wait a second, how can it be going downhill if kids like my little brother and his friends still buy all the games and cards and watch all the newest episodes of Best Wishes every Saturday morning?
