Ps: I know Hasbro has to let Itunes edit it in order for Itunes to sell it, but it's still stupid none the less. Derpy was never made to offend anyone, Derpy was even made in error. Itunes being so sensitive and wanting to change Derpy is ignorant in my eyes and annoying beyond comprehension.

I understand that she's a background pony. But a LOT of people love her way more than those main ponies. She's different, and thats what we like about her. SO if y'all don't like it, DON'T COMMENT. Leave the pony alone, because we don't care what you say, we wanna save derpy, no matter if you do, OR NOT.

Why should we save Derpy? What's with all this crazy hustle over a background pony? Listen, I love Derpy as much as the next brony, but she has no real relevance to the show so censoring her won't affect it in any way. Ecspecially when only the iTunes version was censored so you can get Derpy in all her derped goodness on another product.
MLP:FiM will go on just fine without her walled-eyes.

I'm not a fan of the show, but Derpy is not offesnive at all. In fact, I think it's a great thing to add a "handicapped" character to the show. It shows kids (and grown men) that handicapped people are people, and they should be treated kindly and not judged because of a problem.
I went to a school especially for mental and physical handicapped people, and they would never be offended by such a character. They'd be flattered and feel more important to know that they are seen as equal in the eyes of the MLP:FiM creators.
Taking away the fact that she's handicapped will make people who watch the show who ARE handicapped feel really bad about themselves because "there's something wrong with them." What assholes.
Oh, but I shouldn't be telling this to you. I've got to give Hasbro a few letters and phone calls.

It was just an iTunes download edit, but the original is also downloadable, plus, the original will still be aired on the Hub and will be the one released on DVD. However, it is unknown whether Derpy will make any more future appearances, well, speaking ones, anyway.

If these parents were really THIS sensitive, wouldn't they go after today's cartoon characters with low intelligence? Just saying. I think it looks a little too suspicious to be just easily offended people being offended.

It's already a fact it was the parents. Mlp,rather we want to believe it or not, is for little children. Having a pony with "derpy" eyes and being extremely klutzy is unethical in their eyes and extremely rude. Blame helicopter moms trying to protect their innocent kids.

It's the people who complained about her's fault.
It's funny, a lot of fans wanted her to talk, Hasbro made her talk, people then complained that she was an insult, Hasbro changed her, and people are still not satisfied with her.
It anything, Hasbro is the victim.

Um, no. Hasbro whimpered into a corner to avoid lawsuits. The only people complaining are the parents who bitched that Derpy Hooves was apparently making fun of mentally handicapped people. Parents can be so ignorant sometimes. Derpy was drawn that way by accident, not to mention "Derp" "Derpy" is not a slang/insult. People these days are so sensitive.

It's not Hasbro's fault.
It's Apple's. They forced Hasbro to allow them to change the episode; otherwise it would not be sold on iTunes. The staff have come out to the public on deviantART and said that Derpy will remain Derpy Hooves; except it's highly unlikely tat she'll get another speaking part soon. But untilt hen she will still be our lovable background pony; waiting for us to find her!
But please don't blame Hasbro for this; they're just as upset about it as us, but their hooves are tied.

Derpy's only edited in iTune's version of the episode. She's already made several appearances in episodes following that one, and in a DVD recently released by Hasbro, Derpy remains un-edited.
Point being- I think this is iTune's doing, not Hasbro's.

Hasbro did it for political correctness and because of parents sending in complaints that Derpy was making fun of mentally handicapped people. Hasbro did it to prevent lawsuits. :c
Either way it was Hasbro's fault because no one can change it without Hasbro's permission. (Eg: Itunes)

However, Hasbro's kept Derpy. The one and only place she's edited is on iTunes. Like Dorkahontas said, Hasbro needed to allow an edited version to be made, or else iTunes would not sell it.

Agreed completely. The change was stupid and unnecessary. Especialy becuase for one, there's no confirmation that Derpy was supposed to be mentally handicapped in the first place, and secondly, there are plenty of other fictional characters that aren't exactly 'all there', but no one's throwing fits about them, and thirdly, it's a minority that was complaining about her. How on Earth does it make any sense at all to ignore the majority to cave into the wants of the minority? Oh, logic.
