hmm never saw the x.. but no, there is no gunflash.. the blob next to the x is supposed to be him though. If i got around to finishing the 3 other panels it would have shown the last steps

Reminds me of that famous sniper battle in Stalingrad between Vassily Zaitzev and some German sniper (forgot his name but he was a major I think)

Well I knew about it before Enemy at the Gates came out. I know that the duel in the train yard never took place but I remember he talked about another sniper fighting him, not really a duel, just an encounter with a German sniper. I'm not sure but it was something like that.
