Description Deegix is an abnormal monster. A deranged, twisted being of nature gifted with unnatural power and set free to roam the lands. Many monsters are known for their viciousness, their cunning, or their brute force. Deegix, however, is known for his conceit.

The legends say Deegix was originally a dragonfly. He lived in the swamp, as dragonflies tend to do, and fed on the other smaller creatures that were too slow to get away. Just as he lived a dragonfly, he was destined to die one... until he found himself caught in the path of madness. A certain blue-haired wizard took him for a very specific experiment. The details have been lost to time, but it is said that the dragonfly was to serve as a vessel (or perhaps a prison) for human souls: a close study of exactly what would happen if multiple consciousnesses were trapped in a single diminutive form. The results were... unexpected.

Once combined and fused, the souls lost their individuality, and a lot of their emotional capacity. It seemed a dragonfly could only store so much after all; the rest bled through and dissipated. Yet somehow each souls positive perception of itself remained. The individual ego's did not leave, but instead combined into a large, almost overpowering sense of self-appreciation. This, along with the sudden influx of spiritual power, caused an enormous physical growth and magical development. Suddenly the insect was no longer a mere dragonfly. It was a human sized creature capable of powerful magic and an even more powerful self-absorption. Long story short... the result was Deegix.

Deegix was soon released by his creator for unknown reasons, perhaps the wizard was simply a lover of chaos. At first Deegix lived among the surface, but eventually decided there were too many distractions from what really mattered: himself. To that end he carved out his own subterranean system of tunnels and lives within their cavernous halls, hoarding anything from the surface he desires. Some have tried to enter the tunnels and confront him to take back his thieved goods. They return in defeat or don't return at all. Many think he hordes for greed, or to prove he can, but others think he wants to provoke adventurers into entering his dungeon so he can show off. That would explain why he appears to let some people go to spread word. Even so, he is essentially a dungeon boss, and monsters have to eat sometimes...

Deegix's main strength is his magical ability and agile flight. The blue flamelike projections he creates are not heat or plasma, but instead a weaponized aura. Using this, he can grab and move objects, including swords, large rocks, or human beings. It is not unlike a powerful telekinesis, and he can concentrate on up to 6 large objects at once; the same as his number of limbs. If he concentrates, he can also harden this aura into physical objects. The aura may not be flame, but he can imbue it with the properties of such (though that takes effort and by no means makes him a pyromancer). At its heart, his magic is about manipulation.

Deegix's weakness, of course, is his size and physical ability. His slender arms can project magic capable of herculean feats, yet each of his arms are only half as strong as a humans, and his wings are regenerative, yet fragile.

Oddly enough his self-absorption isn't much of a weakness unless it is perfectly exploited. During a battle he will only gloat and indulge if he feels he has already won, and he is not easily distracted when something is amiss. In a way that makes him cunning, if only more so than the other conceited monsters out there. However... Deegix does have one single pet peeve: Dragonflies. He not-so-secretly hates their natural ability to generate light and they can make him quite enraged.

Thanks. I get pretty passionate about some of these things.
On a much lesser level it's like having a child.

Buuut then you abandon the child and continue to make countless
others and the metaphor kinda dies unless your a queen bee or something.
