Description

The BCPU, among its many tasks and goals, strived to also be a pioneer in the scientific field, albeit with a big focus on developing things and methods that will actually be of use to them.
One location where they do this is in the BCPU’s botanical garden where they cultivate several genetically modified plants. These plants are made in such a way that they produce toxic or irritating vapors and gasses and store them until agitated. Basically making natural gas grenades.

Sergeant Miriam is doing a routine inspection of one of the greenhouses, wearing a full hazmat suit and SCBA mask with a connected air tank. When she touched a fully grown flower to take a look at it, the flowers burst open, releasing a cloud of toxic vapors straight at Miriam. Due to her sturdy PPE, she was perfectly protected, allowing her to investigate the workings of the plant and the way the vapors spread. All without fear of compromising her safety.
