The funniest part of this whole strip: 9 out of the 10 websites I found about colon cleansing urged you not to do it. It does more bad than good.
This was a joke that I had come up with when I first designed these guys. Stabber likes to take things a tad too literally, so he's cleaning his colon with his own hands instead of eating fiber of whatever. He's a real man.
I've also noticed that their hair is a lot crazier than when I drew it on the first strip. Oh me and my lack of consistency.

Two of the four siblings of my dad had to get their colons removed, and Crohns runs in the family.

I have a medical disorder called familial polyposis, or Gardner's syndrome, and that's the reason I don't have a colon. Β I inherited it from my biological father. Β I suppose the nifty thing about it is that since it's a dominant gene, if someone doesn't inherit it, they won't pass it on (meaning my sister doesn't have to worry about passing it on as she doesn't have it). Β The hospital trips suck and sometimes I wish I didn't have to go all the time, but I got a scar out of it. Β Chicks dig scars, am I right?! Β xD Β (Lol jk, I'm a girl.)

Crohns is a disease that causes the inflammation of the colon, and it doesn't have a cure. So yes, it is scary. XD
Ah. I'm not entirely sure what causes the removal of the colon in my dad's family. It could be a very, VERY nasty case of Crohns that requires it. I don't have any signs of Crohns yet, and neither does my dad, but you never know honestly. My aunt had to have her colon removed at 19 so I'm just seeing what happens at this point.

My colon had to be removed when I was five, going on six, because I literally had so many polyps that it covered the lining of my entire colon. Β The gastrologist tested me and said that they all had a one hundred percent chance of turning into cancer, Β so they removed the entire thing. Β I still have to go the hospital every year to get a checkup so they can make sure it's not spreading (because it can and has, though most polyps they've found thus far are benign). Β Luckily, they were able to take a sample of my blood and locate the mutation, so they were able to check my sister's blood to find whether she has it. Β She doesn't. Β I'm so glad they did, too, because she can't handle colonoscopies that well. Β
I still remember the first time, they had to keep her at the hospital all night. Β She fought the nurses the whole time because of her fear of needles and also the tube. Β She didn't want a tube put down her nose either. Β Her veins kept busting from the stress when they tried to put the IV in, and they had to call in extra nurses to hold her down. Β I hate that she had to go through something like that, even though she doesn't even have familial polyposis. Β

I don't really remember, I think it was because your colon naturally cleanses itself and trying a diet to do it just harms it.
