Apparently this is becoming a weekly thing now. Hopefully next time I can keep the characters per panel down and get done faster.On topic, Rarity didn't exactly seem sincere when she was talking about returning those tapestries she was going to repair.

Yeah, the DHX writers ought to have a few PostIt notes all over there desks that outline some "rules" regarding each established character.

It's called a character flaw. Rarity's shown countless times that she's not ALWAYS the most generous pony around. She has her greedy moments from time to time, and not always because of Discord's manipulations.

I understand this on a small scale. I'm considered generous but I get angry when someone gets on my case about taking the last bit of food at a buffet.
But Rarity's motivations in that episode are simply blatant, unabashed greed and selfishness.

Or she could simply be taking advantage of a good opportunity. Those tapestries have been there for how many years? Sure, she could have just let them hang there for another 1,000 years, but she wants to restore tem to the works of art they once were. And why would she put them back into a ruined castle anyway?

In Rarity's defence, the castle was abandoned and in ruin, so unless Celestia, Luna or any other pony decide to renovate it and bring back to it's former glory or make any use of it at all, there is nothing wrong with taking stuff from it rather then let them rot.
