Funny thing, that's exactly what I did. Had it sketched out and the backgrounds done.
Then I was thinking about it, and yeah, it was too obvious, but also, Twilight's reaction to that scene was way funnier than what I'd come up with. (I really think "I am NOT that tall!" is one of my favorite lines so far, partly because it seems to be poking a bit fun at people who complained about Twilight's alicornification. The inflection on her voice, how offended she sounds, is just perfect, too.)
So, having decided to not use that comic, I then had to come up with a new idea at 9am Monday morning. Again. I think after the season is over, I'll post the half-finished comics I made. I'm up to three now, I believe.
