Description
As long as it's about rocks.I don't normally do traditional art because there's too much risk of loss if I ink or color it. I'm satisfied enough with the sketch as is.
Gosh, I hope nopony else beat me to the punch...

Maud strikes me as obsessive/compulsive; a LOT like another Pony we all know, eh?

Actually says "REPORTS DUE TODAY" with today underlined. It's hard to approximate actual Equestrian Script; near as I could tell i could only invert some letters, flip others, and displace some geometry

Reminds me of a very familiar joke in a modern .B.B.C. comedy a few years ago but I can't remember the name of the series.

From the one episode we've had with Maud, I'd say this is pretty accurate.

It got cut off by the scan, but it's down there, along with the base and wheel of the dolly the stack of four boxes is on. There's also a box 8. There's very likely also boxes 9 through 12, and 13 through 16. Full of reams and reams and reams of exhaustive geological data and charts, containing small phials of samples, experimental results, and an intricate labeling system allowing a reader to conveniently (if not very quickly) cross-reference every individual statistic found of every ten cubic meters of the ground within the municipal boundaries of Hollow Shades.

I see, bummer that I guess you need a bigger scanner? Sounds kind of like Twilight. Depending on your magical headcanon it's not too hard to imagine her arrivingΒ to a professor's office levitating several file cabinets worth of papers and data on magical leylines...

Also, I've made the commitment to a cheap lightbox and now all my finished pieces are in ink! I trace them from the original sketch onto a clean sheet of paper, that way I can futz up the inks without destroying the pencils.

I think it's about time I get my hooves on a legit lightbox, actually... it'll have to wait until I can actually scrap together some money. Thanks for reminding me!

I know that feeling (risk of loss when inking.) Β Have you looked into getting or building a tracing table, i.e., a piece of glass with bright, diffuse light behind it? Β Then you trace your own sketch (in ink) onto another paper without risking the original drawing.
