There was once an airbag at a local junkyard.
I know that disposal of live airbags in landfill is prohibited (Also, I believe this one was dumped by a dealer which was closing up along with other brand new car parts).

Stimpy thought it would be fun having an airbag inflate while he was sitting on it... I've seen airbag pranks (you don't want to know where)...

Final note: Beware of airbag theft, particularly in 2002-2006 Toyota Corollas - they are particularly vunerable to airbag theft - in any case, before buying or selling any vehicle with an airbag, get an AUTHORIZED dealer to check the serial numbers of the airbags (don't do this yourself!)
