Whew! I went through with it!

This is an entry for this contest here at Elila's ! I wasn't sure if I was going to enter for a while, but thanks to deadline extensions and the fact that I had the original sketch for this saved on my computer, I thought I'd give it a shot.

The girl there is Sailor Blue Moon, one of Elila's original Sailor Moon characters; and as you can see, she is having a rip-roaring good time! Originally, she was at the carnival with a couple of friends and the background was going to make a LOT more sense, but since the deadline is tomorrow and I really need to do a bunch of chores today, she's all by herself instead. Her story is all my sort of thing; she's a time traveler! Yay~ she's back in Past Earth to save the world from her villainous dad, but since she's having such a good time in the picture, I think it's safe to assume even world-weary time travelers need to take a day off now and then.

The background (the street and stuff) is exactly as rushed as it looks, but otherwise I think this came out pretty nicely! I still really love the pose, which is what motivated me to stop being shy and start drawing.
