Ah, Nodaka is a windows desktop. She has a decent processor and other parts.

and then bought the parts at a local(ish) shop. Dewa, New Egg doesn't seem to have
my wishlist anymore.
You seem to understand computer parts very well. I'm still quite baffled by it all.
