Quietly she waited for him, she waited all day.
He promised he would call her, even if he has to pay.
She patiently waited by the phone, waiting for the call.
She started to think to herself, “Is this even worth it all?”

He’s lied to her once before, not letting her know,
that he went somewhere else when he promised she could go.
She forgave him for lying and then said, “Please..no more lies,
I’m your girlfriend..and then looked straight into his eyes.”

When that day ended, she went straight to bed.
She laid there for hours, looking like she was dead.
She thought about how he lied, when she knew that he wouldn’t.
Couples shouldn’t lie , they just couldn’t.

The phone finally rings, the call she’s been waiting for.
She picked up the phone, then suddenly it was on the floor.
He said he couldn’t make it, just not tonight.
Him and his parents all just got into a fight.

She stood there and thought about how they barley talk.
She thought it would make her feel better if she went for a walk.
She walked for the longest time, thinking of the loved.
How she should be feeling happy, not feeling shoved.

She walked to their spot, the one night she would never forget.
It’s the very first spot, where they had first met.
She noticed her boyfriend there....and he wasn’t alone.
She’s shocked to see who else was there, so she turned and ran home.

She ran into her room and pulled out a note.
It said, “You’ll always be mine... I’ll never let go.”
She ripped the note up and threw it on the ground.
Then sat on her bed and looked all around.

“All these things are lies now,” she whispered to herself ,
“The things on my desk, the photos on my shelf.”
“How did I not see this, just how did I not see,
how he went behind my back, and cheated on me.”

She was blinded by love, not seeing nearly
as much as she should of seen so clearly.
She thought about those words they say to eachother, “I love you”
She whispered to herself, “And I thought it was all true....”
