Description
I'm working on coloring this pic, but it's mind bogglingly difficult to color.I'll get the hang of it eventually.
The face is noticeably different from all other drawings of this particular youkai (Arashi), even male ones, I like how it came out, but still... I was focusing on the fin position. I rather like how that came out.

I like the sketch.... are the youkai an aquatic race? Original?
If you'd like it colored... I'll give it a shot.
Hell, I'll do it anyway

Oh yeah. *smacks head* I forgot to mention. I'm gonna color it anyway, because I need the practice. However, I'm interested in seeing what someone else comes up with. :nods:

Hmm, youkai actually means something along the lines of bewitching/demonic/scary/evil/supernatur al apparition. Often in anime, when translated youkai will be called demon, explaining why you have odd anime where you're going "that's a demon? It's a cat! Two tails, but a CAT!" (Actually bakeneko's are I think technically obake, not youkai, but hey, classification is fast and loose, and it ends up being translated to demon too.)
It's a blanket term. Youkai can range from kappa, to tengu, to kitsune, to tanuki, to oni. (Now TMNT3 makes more sense, I hope? They looked like kappa, so the people thought they were youkai, or demons.)
Lesse, technically, it was supposed to be an Arashi pic, which would mean yes. Arashi is aquatic, although I guess amphibious is actually more appropriate. Water is home.
If you want, I can either give the proper color scheme, or I can see what your mind comes up with. In either case, lemme know, and credit me in the collab.
