you've got the proportions right, dev, and more importantly, you've captured the emotion well. since i haven't seen your friend, i can't comment on the likeness. however, drawing-wise, i think you can get better gradations by depending less on 'rubbing the paper' and more on your pencil. her eyes are beautiful!
