"...Amnesia?...""...Sounds...fitting..."
I must say I did quite enjoy the movie Inside Out, and although I appreciate it for having no real villain, it makes you wonder what exactly a villain would look like if the movie had one. Artists scattered around DeviantArt have thrown their ideas onto the table, so I thought I may as well take a seat and do so as well. This is Amnesia, or at least, that's what others call him. Amnesia is an oddball, seeing as nobody knows for sure what he is, for he is not an emotion, worker, nor anything conjured up by the mind. Amnesia does not in fact dwell within the head of Riley. No, in fact Amnesia resides within Andrew Jack, a 25 year old man who got in a bit of an accident one late winter night and his brain ended up taking some damage. In the wake of this damage, the being known as Amnesia entered his mind. Amnesia has the ability to dissolve memories, no matter how fresh they are, similar to how the memories within the memory dump dissolve away once completely forgotten. However, Amnesia tends to stick to older memories, for apparently newer memories are still full of energy and take more effort to dissolve. Why does it do this, you ask? Well, it has said it's simply in its nature, though at times it appears it does this just because it can. Amnesia has an odd way of speaking, only saying up to two words in one sentence, with pauses in between words. The mind workers within Andrew's mind often hide in fear of it when it comes 'round, for it has on multiple occasions snatched one up and devoured it, claiming it was hungry. Lacking arms, Amnesia actually uses the tentacles at the bottom of its cloak to act as tentacle-like appendages. So far it has only gone after normal memories within Long Term, though its constant staring at HQ and mutters about Core Memories have implied it plans to go after them as well, though at what point in the future is known only by Amnesia itself.
All in all, though not the most powerful and intimidating threat to the mind, Amnesia is still a danger, seeing as it can wipe out memories within seconds and has urges to enter HQ and dissolve the core memories. Oh, and its constant devouring of the mind workers whenever it feels the slightest bit of hunger.

Fantastic Inside Out Villian that you have here. I do like the three shadowy eyes that are showing from underneath the hood, it makes him look even more scarier.

Amnesia is quite a scary and traumatic experience, I would imagine. I absolutely love his design. An excellent back-story, too; you've made him a very real threat. His love for memories is very chilling, especially his growing obsession with the Core Memories. I love this ability you've given him to gray them right out, then totally dissolve them almost simultaneously. A very potent effect. Oh, he's like a living Memory Dump; very frightening.
I also like your explanation on how newer memories have more energy, and are more difficult to dissolve. I know very little about this condition, but I wonder if it works similarly for real.

Thanks! The concept of a living memory dump was indeed part of the inspiration for it. Many thanks again!

Awesome villain! Out of all the oc's I've seen this one is definitely the most original. I find it interesting that he live in a different human's mind, nice change of pace there as well.

Great job on your villain OC and an excellent job on its description. I'm glad we now have a new villain for the group. I like that Amnesia seems to make up excuses for his actions and it's cool to see that he's actually in the mind of another person since I think of Riley as a mech. Shor term memory loss is also a pretty subtle and very effective method for a villain as well.

Why thank you! Amnesia does like to just do what it desires at any given point in time. At one moment it could be dissolving a memory, the next it could snatch and gobble up a worker because he suddenly grew famished dissolving memories. And thanks for the compliment on his method as well. After the accident Andrew did always have a heck of a time recalling things, even recent ones, never aware of a cloaked being dissolving his memories day after day. Overall, thanks very much. I cannot await to draw more of Amnesia, and possibly more villains in the future.

No problem. It's been a while since the group was introduced to a new villain.

Nice job. Was time someone made a villain for our group. I'm very glad to see you NOT using Riley. Not many people actually have a new OC and I don't get why when there are so many more interesting minds out there. Would be neat if he did destroy fresh memories too for short term memory loss like with Dory the fish. I like he devours workers that get in his way.

Thanks! Yeah, I did take notice of your comments about that over your different pieces, which is what got me to place Amnesia in another mind. And well, although it doesn't cause nearly as bad short term memory loss, it does exterminate quite a few fresh ones when he feels like doing so. And yes, though it doesn't just eat the ones in its way. Ones that hide away as it passes are just as likely, if not more likely to become its next meal. So, yeah, many thanks. Can't wait to make some more art of this memory exterminator.

Oh wow. I'd have thought getting out of his way would have been better. So it's better if they stand quietly to the side? Interesting. Yeah that will be cool. I know the feeling. I'm always wanting to make more art as I have tons of ideas.

Nope. Standing quietly to the side is just as likely to get them eaten, though somewhat less so. Honestly Amnesia eats them because they exist, not is they get in his way or hide. Now, I wonder what I'll do with em' next?...Maybe a gift art to celebrate my coming into the group, maybe some misc. group of pictures of him, who knows. Only time will tell.

Haha ok. Well there are so many of them. In my story I call them proteins so they get replaced anyway. No big deal killing them in the thousands.
