Description

The Colesun sisters hit the Saint Gabrielle's Mall like a storm, a big huge credit card powered storm, snapping up everything in sight.

After a hectic four hour spree the storm finally began to abate as other concerns began to intrude into the sister's minds.

"Phew...now that was fun, but you know, kinda peckish. Maybe take a breather, get something to eat?" Nadine asked her sisters.

"You want to eat, who are you and what have you done with the real Nadine?" Rachel laughed.

"Hey...serum might be healthier, but even I can stretch to a slice of Mississippi Mud Pie on our birthday, Dee, how about you?" Nadine turned to ask their elder sister who stood watching people passing with a smile on her face.

"Wot? Yeah, soundz good...Iz just wanna try out the comic shopz. Iz hear that they iz be releasing a tie in to Iron Man 2...iz gna be awesomez!".

Nadine shook her head, "Okay Dee, well we will be at the Slice of Heaven restaurant when you're done, better hurry or I might eat all the pie myself."

Dee snorted, "Yeah...rightz, and Murray iz might learnz to fly, I iz think pie iz not be in any dangerz from you two."

"Well, don't say we didn't warn ya." Rachel added as they parted. Dee wondered off happily toward the comic store, her two sisters walked toward the restaurant then paused and looked back at her.

"She seems to be happier." Nadine said.

Rachel nodded, "Yeah...today has been fun for her, for all of us. We should do this more often."

" We should" Nadine agreed as she linked her arm in Rachel's. "Now, let's go treat my taste buds to a little chocolate heaven."

About an hour later Daniella wondered into the restaurant, with at least another two bags stuffed with graphic novels added to her trophies for the day.

Nadine raised an eyebrow, "Dee, more comics. How can you read that cra..." Nadine was silenced as Rachel gently laid a finger across her lips and smiled at Daniella, "So Dee, get anything good?"

Dee nodded enthusiastically "Iz be gotz awesomez stuffz, like totally awesomez. Thor, Iron Manz, My Little Poniez, that one iz rare...iz has the alternative Dark Poniez cover!"

"Dark Ponies...that's a thing? Well thank you Christopher Nolan, now everything has to be dark" Rachel sighed, as she signalled the waiter. Pretty soon a large slice of pie with a candle was placed in front of Dee.

"I will have you know I had to use the ultimate self control not to eat that" Nadine joked.

Dee nodded, mouth too full to reply. The pie was quickly consumed and Dee sat back. Her eyes watched the people passing outside, and after a while her smile faded a little and she sighed.

"Dee?" Rachel asked, sharing a look with Nadine, "You okay baby?"

"Iz all just be stuffz" Dee replied.

"What is...Dee...talk to us" Rachel edged closer concern in her voice.

"This, clothes, jewellery...even comicz...iz all be stuffz! How canz any of it meanz anything when we iz rich enough to haz everything? Excuse me...iz need to thinkz!" Dee stood and walked out abruptly.

"Dee???" Nadine stood to follow but felt Rachel's arm on hers exerting a gentle pressure and looked down, "What?"

"Let her go, she needs time. She will walk around, probably find another comic store and cheer up in no time. Let's give her some space." Rachel said.

Nadine sat back down, " I thought she was better, you said the nightmares were happening less frequently.

"They are, she is." Rachel gazed after Dee as her troubled older sister disappeared into the crowd, "She is going to be fine" Rachel whispered, almost to herself.
